So Hing-keung was born in Hong Kong. He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1994 with first class honour in Photography Design. So is a prolific photographer who has held numerous solo and group shows in Paris, Berlin, New York, Halifax and Hong Kong since the late 1980s. The latest one, "Red", was held at the Louis Vuitton Gallery in Hong Kong in 2009. Currently he works as a professional photographer and teaches photography part time at the Department of Fine Arts of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong Art School.
