In 2005, Christoph Noe, a former management consultant, founded THE MINISTRY OF ART together with his partner Cordelia Steiner, a sociologist by training, following their passion for contemporary Chinese art.

THE MINISTRY OF ART acts as a platform to promote young Chinese artists by, for example, facilitating and curating exhibition projects. Specializing on the Post-75s generation of artists, both have lectured frequently on this topic.
