Connoisseur Art Gallery was established in 1989 as a non-profit organization in Hong Kong to promote and expand the reach of highly talented Chinese artists in the region. Since then, it has evolved to become a commercial art gallery with the same dedication to its current stable of established artists; many of whom have had their works auctioned by Sotheby's and Christie's Hong Kong since the 1990s. Specialising in Chinese contemporary art with a primary focus on realism and figurative art, Connoisseur Art Gallery also represents few selected, internationally acclaimed artists.

With two decades of experience in the art industry, Connoisseur Art Gallery now enjoys the unique reputation of being one of the biggest and most important art galleries in Asia. It boasts of three galleries in Hong Kong its flagship gallery on Hollywood Road opposite the historic Old Central Police Station, 82 Republic and Contemporary Connoisseur as well as one in Singapore. 82 Republic and Contemporary Connoisseur were started to devote more attention to new and emerging contemporary art stars while Connoisseur Art Gallery in Singapore showcases the works of both modern and contemporary Chinese and European artists represented by the three galleries in Hong Kong.
