YUKA TSURUNO is a contemporary art gallery active in the primary market. It was founded in 2009 by Yuka Tsuruno as YUKA CONTEMPORARY. Yuka has studied art in New York and gained gallery experience at ARATANIURANO in Tokyo.

YUKA TSURUNO exclusively represents 10 contemporary artists (mainly from Japan and one from the US) in various media include painting, sculpture, video, sound, and photography. The gallery fosters emerging to mid-career artist who were born between 1983 and 1975. Almost all of artists have participated in group or solo shows both domestically and internationally.

In its second year, the gallery was invited to exhibit in the "GLOBAL SPOTLIGHT" section in ART TAIPEI 2011. The gallery selected to feature mamoru (a sound/conceptual artist) in a solo show which was received with high acclaim by international collectors and curators, resulting in significant media coverage. Given the rapid growth of the gallery, YUKA CONTEMPORARY was incorporated and re-named as YUKA TSURUNO in September 2011.

YUKA TSURUNO holds 5-week long shows throughout the year. The gallery holds solo shows for its gallery artists, while also providing unique opportunities for them by inviting external artists and curators for special projects. From 2012, the gallry will start exchanging artists with other overseas galleries with similar vision. To date, the gallery has produced and published several exhibition catalogs and monogram photo book.
