Taken from HKEC, "EC" stands for Exhibition Centre. Founded in 1980's, Hong Kong Exhibition Centre (HKEC), an earliest exhibition centre in Hong Kong SAR, which was formerly known as "China Export Commodities Displaying Hall", had organised and exhibited numerous fine art and contemporary art on the temporary basis. With over 30 years of experience, EC gallery is formed to take a step further.

Located in the Central district of Hong Kong, EC Gallery is established to focus on contemporary art with the principle of sincerity. With an ideal, we are committing to the responsibilities of encouraging and nurturing young talents, assisting them to pursue their professional artistic careers. Within the gallery space, we aim to showcase high quality works of art and dedicate to provide the best services to our clients and visitors as well as supporting and cultivating the general public in art appreciation. EC Gallery will present in-house exhibitions and co-organise with collaborators to promote potential talents, especially invited artists from Europe, Japan, USA, South America, Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong as well as from the eight prestigious fine art institutes in China.
