Beijing Art Now Gallery (BANG) was founded in 2004, located inside of the Beijing Workers Stadium. It overlooks a small bridge on a lake. The exhibition space of Beijing Art Now Gallery was created to accommodate the gallery’s specific purposes and needs. The space covers an area of 230 square meters, and includes an exhibition line of 61 meters, with plenty of natural lighting.

Beijing Art Now Gallery is an international professional institute which deals Chinese avant-garde art. One of the main initial targets of Beijing Art Now Gallery is to support Chinese art now in China, and to archive Chinese art now into the world art history.

In order to provide a further creative space to present more experimental and international exhibitions, promoting more young artists in the future, at the beginning of year 2007, Beijing Art Now Galley extended a second site to No.50 Moganshan Road, M50 in Shanghai. The exhibition space of two floors covers 500 square meters, 170 meters’ exhibition line, installed with video room and database independently.

After the “Post 9/11–Yang Shaobin’s Solo Exhibition” shocked throughout the Chinese cultural scene in 2004, Beijing Art Now Gallery has continually held many internationally influential solo and group exhibitions. In June of 2007, Beijing Art Now Gallery and German gallery Arndt & Partner cooperated Zhang Fazhi’s solo Exhibition in Zurich; in July, the double solo exhibition of Li Bo and Lei Benben’s has enjoyed great attention globally, the show was also selected as the exhibition of the day on the Artnet homepage and the monthly newsletter by Artnet in New York. On the process of establishing the broader international communication system, the collection and information networks, Beijing Art Now Gallery has played actively in the world wide art scene.

Beijing Art Now Gallery has participated numerous international art fairs and art festivals: such as Beijing Art Fair 2006 and 2007, Bologna Art Fair and Florence Art Fair in Italy 2006, China International Gallery Exhibition CIGE 2006 and 2007, Art Taipei and Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair 2007, ARCO Art Fair in Spain 2006 and 2008, Art Basel in Switzerland 2008.
