Since the foundation in 1978 the Raab Galerie was located in the centre of Berlin's art world, next to the National Gallery and the new Old Master Paintings Museum (Gem?ldegalerie) near to Potsdamer Platz. Its huge open and accessible space in a Bauhaus building is known since their first exhibitions of german figurative and expressive painters called the "Junge Wilde", like Rainer Fetting, Luciano Castelli, Elvira Bach and Salome.

On the first of March 2002, they moved to a new space at the corner of Kantstrasse and Fasanenstrasse, in the neighbourhood of the Krfürstendamm. The building was built by the German architect J. P. Kleihues, who also built the Chicago Art Museum. The gallery space can be found in the basement of the building with a space of 1200 square meters, which gives us the possibility to hold several exhibitions at the same time, therefor each show can be presented for a longer period of time. Interested in artists belonging to different artistic streams , they work with three generations of national and international artists. That are well known and established painters and sculptors like K.H.Hoedicke, Markus Luepertz, Peter Chevalier from Germany, Jim Dine, Adolph Gottlieb, Donald Sultan, John Duff from the United States, Christopher Le Brun, Stephen McKenna, John Davies, Therese Oulton from Great Briatin, Jean-Michel Alberola, Daniel Spoerri, Gerard Garouste from France, Darya von Berner from Spain, Ernesto Tatafiore, Marco Cingolani, Enzo Cucchi from Italy, as well as the young and upcoming generation of german artists like Alke Brinkmann, Sabine Herrmann or Gil Topaz.

They mainly work in the field of painting, drawing, sculpture, prints and photography which is represented through artists like Pierre & Gilles, Karl Lagerfeld, Gerd Bonfert, Sandy Skoglung, Shimon Attie, Jun Morinaga and Andreas Horlitz. The gallery is holding 10 changing national and international one-man or group exhibitions per year, including one exhibition covering the period of the fourties to the sixties (Hofer, Tr?kes, Camaro and others).

They would like to welcome visitors in their gallery or for brief information on this webpage.
