Gallery Kobayashi was founded at Ginza, Tokyo in 1977.
The Gallery hold mainly the exhibitions of Japanese Contemporary Artists.
As one of our important works is publishing "THE EIGHTIES-80's Japanese contemporary arts-" in which the document of the Japanese contemporary art and 33 artists were recorded in 1990. After the publish, we held one-man show of 33 Artists who had been collected in the book.
The gallery presents exhibitions of Tadashi Kawamata who is active internationally; of Yuji Akatsuka, Rikiya Iwakuma, Yoshitaka Echizenya, Saburo Ota, Keizaburo Okamura, Hirotake Kurokawa, Kuniichi Shima, Shozo Suzuki, Naoki Suwa, Kyotaro Hakamata, Naoaki Yamamoto, etc., who are active after 1980's ; and in recent years of young artists.
Additionally, we plan the exhibitions that cooperate with enterprises, and also presents the cultural exchange exhibition with foreign countries, and supply the art work to public museums and a commercial space.
