Founded in 1978 by Joong-Ku Eum, Wellside Gallery has been one of the leading galleries in the Korean art scene, presenting modern and contemporary arts to Korean art aficionados. The gallery has held numerous solo exhibitions of significant artists such as Seo-Bo Park , Hyong-Keun Yun, Chang-Sup Jeong, Kang-So Lee, Hyeok-Lim Jeon, Sang-Ki Son, and Se-Yeol Oh whose works reflect their lives and philosophies with authenticity and sincerity. On the other hand, the gallery also endeavored to introduce distinguished international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in Korea , such as Charles Arnoldi from US and aboriginal artists from Australia .
Wellside Gallery has participated in major international art fairs such as ACAF ( New York ), Melbourne art fair ( Melbourne ), CIGE ( Beijing ), HK Art fair ( Hong Kong ) to introduce Korean contemporary arts and to promote talented and important Korean artists in the global art scene. Within a short period of time, the gallery's international outlook has firmly gained its fine reputation as one of the premier galleries in Korea .
