Duddell’s is a cultural and social destination created for people who have an active appreciation of the arts. Founded by three of Hong Kong’s most influential young minds, Alan Lo, Yenn Wong, and Paulo Pong, Duddell is neither museum nor gallery – it is a colorful backdrop against which ideas can be shared and developed, connecting art and people in a fresh, new way, and ultimately, allowing art masters and novices alike to embrace and develop the new cultural context adopted by the city.
Open to all art enthusiasts, Duddell’s will feature a world-class arts programme spearheaded by cultural leaders Yana Peel, William Zhao, Chrissy Sharp and Alan Lo. The ambitious exhibition programme will include the best of international modern and contemporary art as well as a continuous programme of talks, performances, film screenings and other events.
With interiors as noteworthy as the art on its walls, entering Duddell’s will feel like being welcomed into the eclectic home of a great art collector – one that also happens to have an in-house Michelin starred Cantonese chef, a lush 2,000 square foot outdoor terrace, and sophisticated salon with artisanal cocktails and vintage champagne.
*Opening on May 20, 2013
